The Bundeskartellamt is pleased to announce that it will host its 22nd International Conference on Competition in Berlin from 28 February to 1 March 2024.
The International Conference on Competition hosted by the Bundeskartellamt is one of the most renowned international events dealing with competition law issues and brings together leading personalities and competition experts from all over the world, providing a forum for them to exchange their knowledge and experience. In past years, more than 350 participants from over 70 countries have regularly attended.
The conference will be opened with keynote speeches by Marco Buschmann, Federal Minister of Justice, Sven Giegold, State Secretary at the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action, Margrethe Vestager, Executive Vice-President and European Commissioner for Competition, Jonathan Kanter, Assistant Attorney General of the Antitrust Division at the U.S. Department of Justice, and Tobias Meyer, CEO of DHL Group.
The subsequent discussions will address the challenges for competition policy and enforcement in the context of today’s multiple crises, the impact of artificial intelligence, “Brandeisian ambitions”, challenges with regard to abuse control, recent trends in merger control and new enforcement tools.
A detailed conference programme is available. The conference will be held in English. The conference venue will be the Steigenberger Hotel am Kanzleramt.
